Reopening the salon - keeping you and our team safe

We thought hard about how to keep you and our team safe. We are implementing many new safety and sanitation initiatives:

Entry to the salon - Only guests with confirmed appointments will be allowed in the salon. Before entering, the State requires us to ask a few brief health questions. Due to our capacity limitations (and by the Mayor's orders in DC locations), we ask that you wait outside the salon in a place you feel comfortable, and we will text you when your stylist is ready to begin your appointment.

Masks - The State requires our entire team and you to wear a mask. For this reason, we have implemented a strict Mask Rule: no mask, no service - no exceptions! We ask that you bring a mask to your appointment as at this time we are not able to provide them.

Social distancing - We will be utilizing every other station for services and limiting the number of stylists in the salon. This will allow each guest to remain at least six feet apart from other guests. Stylists will only provide services to one guest at a time.

Cleaning Safety and Sanitation - Cleaning safety and sanitation have always been a significant part of our salon culture and Cosmetology Licensure. Many on our team have taken the Barbicide sanitization certification course. Each station and the tools associated with services will be cleaned and sanitized between each service and, of course, a strict frequent handwashing policy is in effect. We will need a little more time between services to follow these new rules.

Salon Experience - The new normal means we have removed magazines, beverage services, and any unnecessary items from the stations and salon. We encourage you to use Apple or Google pay for contactless payment and make any gratuities via Venmo or exact change to limit cash handling.

Limiting BlowDries & Services during phase 1 - Some states asked salons to forgo blowdry services totally, so out of an abundance of caution, we are currently not offering full blowdry services in all of our locations. All blowdries will be restricted to the amount of time needed to ensure the quality of the service.

BlowDries & Services during phase 2 - salons in phase two and above jurisdictions will offer normal blowdry services.

Employee Safety : All our locations, including D.C, are strictly following VA DOLI Infectious disease prevention measures, and we thank them for their strict guidelines. Including self-monitoring and reporting standards for all employees and flexible sick leave. In compliance with VOSH and DOLI We also have a full COVID policy for reporting exposures in our salons.

COVID EXPRESS SERVICE OPTIONS - For those that would like to limit their time in the salon, we have express services. Please mention your preference for express service at the time of booking.

Skip the shampoo - Simply come with clean, dry hair or damp hair.

Skip the blowdry - No problem! We'll thoroughly condition your hair and apply finishing products, leaving you with air-dry ready hair.

No blowdry. No processing time - We can cut your hair, then apply single-process hair color; then, we'll wrap your hair up into a shower cap and provide you with the professional post conditioner to seal and return your hair to neutral PH. You'll have up to 45 mins until the color needs to be washed-out at home.

Outside services - we have varying options depending on location, please call us we can make something work.
