Is Our Cosmetology Program Right for You?
If you’re thinking about a career in the hair and beauty industry, PR Partners Academy offers a cosmetology program that begins from the very basics and develops their students into salon professionals with advanced skills, confidence, and practical experience.
At our academy, students are educated by successful, experienced stylists and industry educators who are experts at their craft. Because PR Partners Academy is also a working salon, students gain experience in an upscale salon environment surrounded by peers, educators, products, and a true-life salon environment that embodies the energy and reality of a professional salon.
There are three phases to our program to ensure our students get a well-rounded education before entering the salon industry.
Rising Star - Phase 1. Students start with the fundamentals in hair cutting, hair color, texture, styling, esthetics, nails, and communication. This first phase is in a classroom setting where live demos are taught by industry professionals to teach the practical concepts. Students will be doing hands-on learning by applying their talents on mannequin heads while being mentored by industry leaders. Communication and relationships with clients are key in our industry. Communicating effectively with your clients helps build loyalty and trust that keep your clients coming back to your time and time again.
Rockstar – Phase 2. During this phase, students are introduced to the clinic floor, a fully equipped salon environment, for learning with live models. Learning continues with enhanced communication skills to deliver a top-quality experience to each guest. Student coaches will be offering support and guidance. Students will have the opportunity to learn about and use many professional products, learn how to build your Social Media brand, and will continue working on effective communication.
Superstar – Phase 3. In the final phase of the cosmetology program, students are developing practical application speed, working independently with guests, and learning more advanced techniques in anticipation for the state board exam. During this phase students have the opportunity to participate in a Salon Showcase and Job Fair, putting them face to face with salon owners and industry reps. Resume-building, interviewing skills, portfolio compilation, and Social Media presence are finalized as students are ready to hit the workforce with their new skills.
