Look Great with These Effortless College Hairstyles

Look Great with These Effortless College Hairstyles

Before long it’ll be time to get back to campus and get serious again about school. Whether you live on campus, in apartments, and at home, it’s still important to have an easy go-to routine that’ll keep you on schedule but still looking great for all your networking events, sorority endeavors, and on-campus activities.

College life is all about having fun while looking good, but if you’re anything but a freshman, you’ll know that it’s time-consuming to worry about your attire and new hairstyles. Here are some back-to-school hairstyles that’ll keep you looking good while saving time on your hectic morning routine.

Loose braids. If you have medium to long hair, very little time in the morning, and want an effortless hairstyle, try these loose braids. Messy but chic is the name of the game with these braids. Tie the hair into a messy fishtail braid and push away from the sides. You can look classy or trendy by playing with the neatness and tightness of the braids.

Upside Down Pony. We’ve seen this style last a few days and is a trend-setter for everyday college life. All you need to do is gather your hair and braid it from upside-down toward the top of your head. Collect all the remaining hair and make a pony. It’s quite a trendy style and will keep your hair looking great all day long.

Textured ponytail. A textured – or piece-y pony – is a great look that is reminiscent of the 90s grunge look. Simply throw your hair up in a textured ponytail and leave pieces loose in front. If you dyed your hair blonde this summer and it’s beginning to grow out, don’t be in a hurry to cover those roots just yet. The rooty blonde color is still trending hard this season and looks great pulled back into this textured pony.

Soft babylights. If you love your hairstyle but want a change, subtly is key when adding babylights to your hair. Caramel is hot for brunettes and blondes while bronze or copper is a go-to color for babylights in red hair. Although it’s a subtle color highlight, it will definitely be noticeable and perfect for transitioning into the fall season.

Wet look. Whether you’re famous for hopping out of the shower and rushing off to class, or love to let your hair air-dry, this look is a great option. Use a mousse to fingerstyle your hair while leaving a soft hold that will last all day long. Keep it chic by adding some shine serum for a wet look that will leave them wondering.

Layered hair. If you want something new going into the new school year, adding layers to your hair can give you a whole new look without losing the length. If you’re known for tying your hair up throughout the day, make sure to let your PR at Partners stylist know to keep the shortest layer long enough to fit into a topknot, bun, or ponytail.

Twist with a hair comb. Tired of hair ties but love putting your hair up? Try a fun twist updo using a hair comb clip. Lay the clip on the side of your head where it fits the contour, push the teeth of the comb into your twist, and voila! You’re ready for class with a fresh new look.
